WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Wilmington Housing Authority's new CEO hit the ground running this week.
Katrina Redmon started her new job Monday, and today residents had a chance to meet her at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Community members also had an opportunity to sign up for one-on-one time with Redmon.
President of Creekwood South Glendora Mullins said communication between WHA residents and Redmon is the key to seeing change in the housing communities.
"I would like to see her come out and walk and get to meet some of the residents; not all of them, but some of them, to see the change and coming together as one to make things better," Mullins said.
Mullins said she saw a few Creekwood residents at the meet and greet, which she said is a sign that they want to work together with WHA toward a better future.
